broken record

everything is going downhill for me.  everything. you name it.  worst of all, my youngest daughter is very ill and may die in 2 weeks from Canine Distemper (CD). 

this is Sushi right now. so different from her usual self.  she's so weak and can't even stand up or walk. it all started a few days ago when she vomited nonstop after eating. i had her brought to her vet who said she had liver problems and that she was anemic.she was still okay last night though a little lethargic. but early today, our house help noticed that she couldn't walk. her two front legs were stiff. i had her brought to Animal House and they diagnosed her as having CD. it's contagious to other dogs so they couldn't confine her. 

she's on dextrose and can only eat and drink by force feeding. every now and then she twitches and has seizures. she's in the advanced stage already. 

i searched online and found out about this alternative treatment: spinal tap. so we looked for the Lasota strain to use a vaccine for her. but all the poultry shops are closed right now because it's Sunday. even with that, the doctor said it's still a 50-50 chance that she will die or recover. before they give the vaccine to her, she needs to be sedated. the vet said it's possible that she will not wake up after sedation. 

  

i have no one to talk to about this. it's just me and this blog. and as always and with other things,  i have to figure out how to solve this on my own and get through this somehow. 

this is the usual Sushi. playful, stubborn and makulit. 

Sushi just turned 2 last Oct. 14. she's still so young. if only i can die instead of her, i will.  i can't bear it if she dies before me. if she dies, there's no reason for me to go on anymore. ang drama but that's how i feel right now.

bed switching

a funny thing happened while i was writing the previous entry.

sushi was looking at me, then barking at my side of the bed. 

when i ignored her after a while, she slept on the floor beside me.

after i published the entry and i got up, i carried her and wondered why she was sleeping there. 

then i saw setsuko sleeping soundly on sushi's bed. wawang baby haha! kaya pala ko tinatahulan kanina, nagsusumbong.

setsuko wouldn't budge when i tried to wave her to her own bed so i just squeezed sushi in.

  

but after a while, sushi got up and just slept on the big pillow!

naawa naman ako so i carried setsuko to her bed and then put sushi on hers. 

now sushi got up again and went outside. maligalig 'tong batang 'to!

but she gave me an idea what to buy Setsuko for Christmas: a new bed!

i want to be a Shih Tzu

particularly Sushi.

everybody loves her and takes care of her. 

she plays all day. 

she does nothing.

yet everybody still loves her. 

she exists to give happiness. 

i love her.

i'll go crazy if she's not here.

i'm so glad i bought her 2 Decembers ago. 

she's more a gift to me than she is to Erik.

jewelry DIY all day!

i wanted to do a coin purse today but i had no zipper available

so i made jewelry instead. 

i purchased these beads and brass chain in Quiapo last Sunday. 

it's quite cheap. P100 per string of semi-precious stones 

and then P60 per string for the Murano beads (buy 3 take 1).

this one below is my favorite Murano bead among the ones i purchased.

it's like a teardrop. i love it.

this one's an old silver chain of mine (not sure if it's sterling). 

after attaching some Murano beads, it looked like this.

Sushi kept on barking at me and asking for attention 

so i made her pose with the necklace :)

this is the sterling silver rose ring i did. 

it's two rings which i connected by using copper wire. 

 but i removed the wire after because i prefer it simpler and disconnected.

it's supposed to be 3 but i broke the silver wire while twisting 

and my fingers hurt already. there'll be another time to complete the set.

but before all these jewelry, i finally finished the two-toned scarf!

there are holes in it and like i said, i made mistakes all over it

i didn't bother to unravel the yarn when i accidentally purled instead of knitted

 the green one is more tightly knit than the white 

so there's a part where the white one is wider :(

but it's not going to be obvious when wrapped around one's neck!

next time, it's going to be perfect!

went to the vet today for some needed grooming.

the guy looks like he really loves dogs. 

i'll come back to this place because of that (and the loyalty card too).

setsuko is tired from all the brushing.

but the two look happy afterwards :)

yung nanay kaya, kelan makakapagpa-parlor? ;-)
